TLDR: Gather feedback from past events, set a date/time (preferably during work hours), confirm budget and venue, pick engaging in-person or virtual activities, send clear invites early, and consider hiring an events company to handle planning for a memorable team Christmas party.
Your employees deserve only the best this Christmas. Celebrate your team and give them something to look forward to and plan the most memorable End Of Year Party yet!
Planning a Christmas party is a big task, whether you have 5 or 500 employees, remote/hybrid workers or all in person, you want everyone to have fun so we‘re here to take the pressure off! Get your pen and paper out and get ready to take some serious notes…
Ask for feedback on previous parties
Was there an outstanding event that everyone remembers, any funny stories or dress up themes that really got them laughing? It’s good to take note of what didn’t work well either – maybe a location just wasn’t everyone’s’ cup of tea? Feedback is good!
Lock in the date and time
People have lives outside of work so working out a date that suits everyone is vital. We always suggest booking your event during work hours for maximum attendance and to show your team that work/life balance is recognised and important! Maybe schedule it mid-week, so it doesn’t encroach on their weekend? You could always be extra awesome and give them the next morning off to recover, then serve up breakfast baps when they get back into the office. Don’t forget, once you’ve locked the date in, build the excitement up and send out the invites via email!
What’s the budget?
This is important: what can you afford as a business and what will it include? If the budget is tight, then why not put on a supermarket spread before you leave the office to head onto the main Christmas event!
Choose an awesome venue
The venue choice will obviously be impacted by your budget, but whether you’re flashing the cash or keeping it chill, we know some really cool places in London that will make for the perfect celebration (ask us about our partner venues!).
The activity!
This is the fun part, both for you and for us. We bring our events to you so tell us where to be & we’ll meet you there! Including an activity is a great way to bring your team together. Whether you’re taken with our very Festive Scavenger Hunt or fancy something extra special, our Magic Bingo is just the ticket – whatever the occasion, we’re bound to have you covered with an equally as brilliant event to make your party something to remember!
Is your party being held virtually this year? We’re pretty awesome at creating some kick-ass personalised quizzes or have a Virtual Horse Racing to really get people celebrating!
Send out the invites in advance
Once all of the above is set in stone, you need to tell your teams where, when and how in order to confirm numbers. If there is an activity being put on (these usually go down well!), tell them what to expect. Basically, make sure they know exactly what will be happening, what to wear etc. This will also get them excited and boost up that festive morale in the office!
Hire someone to organise the event
Have you met us? We’re only an award winning events company, who happen to plan the best events in the city!
