The Brief
Christmas 2020 was unlike any other, making it more important than ever to bring teams together. The Global Kraft Heinz Legal Team approached Big Smoke Events to create a festive, interactive virtual experience that would connect colleagues from around the world.
With attendees joining from locations including South America and Hong Kong, the event needed to work across multiple time zones while still feeling personal, inclusive and celebratory.
The Solution
Our first challenge was logistics. We carefully selected a time that allowed for maximum global attendance, successfully accommodating 11 different time zones and welcoming over 100 participants live on Zoom.
We then created a fully bespoke virtual quiz, featuring five carefully designed rounds of trivia. The content was personalised to reflect both the Kraft Heinz brand and the people behind it – helping team members learn more about the company and each other in a relaxed, festive setting.

Kraft Heinz trivia, such as fascinating brand facts (including when Heinz Tomato Ketchup was officially approved by NASA for use on the International Space Station)

Team-focused questions, spotlighting the people within the business and encouraging connection across borders

A final round of festive music from around the world, ensuring the event ended on a high
The Result
The quiz delivered a warm, engaging and truly global celebration, bringing colleagues together at a time when in-person connection wasn’t possible.
By combining personalised content, thoughtful scheduling and a lively virtual format, the event helped strengthen relationships across a dispersed team – recreating those informal, everyday moments of connection that are so important for global and remote organisations.
All in all, it was a brilliant global Christmas event for the Kraft Heinz team, full of energy, laughter and festive spirit.
