Case Study: Tesco Sales Conference Scavenger Hunt
Tesco | The Parcel Yard, King’s Cross, London
The Brief
Tesco approached Big Smoke Events looking for a quick, easy and engaging activity to act as a break during one of their large corporate sales conferences.
After several days of intensive presentations, the team wanted something that would get people out and about, away from conference rooms, while still being flexible around timings and conveniently located for onward travel. The brief was clear: low effort, high impact, and lots of fun.
The Solution
We designed a three-hour Scavenger Hunt that fitted seamlessly into the conference schedule, starting and finishing at The Parcel Yard in King’s Cross – an ideal location for transport links whether attendees were heading home or onto the next part of the conference.
Teams were deliberately mixed, encouraging participants to head out with colleagues they didn’t usually work with. This helped break down barriers, spark new conversations and strengthen connections across the wider Tesco team.
The hunt provided a perfect balance of structure and flexibility, allowing the event to run smoothly without adding any extra pressure to an already busy conference programme.
The Result
The Scavenger Hunt delivered exactly what Tesco needed – a fun, energising break from their sales conference with minimal planning required on their side.
The flexibility of the format, combined with the simplicity and enjoyment of the experience, made it a standout addition to the conference agenda. Tesco have since rebooked The Big Smoke Events for similar events, loving how much impact the Scavenger Hunt delivers as an easy, stress-free solution.
If you’re looking for an event that fits into your schedule, breaks the ice, or simply allows people to relax after an intense few days – we can help.
