The Brief

The Big Smoke Events was asked to create a special team-building and bonding experience for around 100 people at the end of a week-long global conference to coincide with the France v Spain match at the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Many of the delegates had never met before so a key element of the brief was to encourage participation, spark interaction and create a fun and inclusive experience that everyone could enjoy, including non-football fans.

The challenge was to create a social and entertaining game experience that would complement the excitement of the live match, allowing people to compete, connect and participate in some jovial banter along the way, encouraged by our Big Smoke game show hosts.

The Solution

We created a bespoke FIFA World Cup Bingo Experience built around the Spain v France match.

Each delegate received a personalised bingo card featuring words and phrases specifically linked to what they would see on the big screen and hear from the live match commentary.

As the game unfolded, delegates crossed off the relevant words on their cards. The objective was simple: complete a line and be the first to shout BINGO!

To add a humorous twist at half-time we introduced a team challenge designed to get the whole audience involved. The 100-strong group was split into teams and given 60 seconds to build the tallest paper cup tower possible!

The winning team earned a free square placed in the centre of their bingo card, giving them a valuable head start in the race to complete their lines in the second half.

The combination of the live match, personalised bingo and team challenge created a fast-paced experience that kept delegates engaged and interacting throughout the event.

The Result

The FIFA World Cup Bingo Challenge Show delivered a fully inclusive and unique team- building experience that brought colleagues together from around the world.

The format worked brilliantly, keeping energy levels high while creating plenty of social competition and encouraging delegates to share special moments with colleagues they may not previously have known.
